Measuring
Center Front Length: from the base of the neck at the "wishbone" to the natural waist. The Center Front Length should be approximately 1.5 inches shorter that the Center Back Length. Front Shoulder Width: taken from shoulder point to shoulder point across the front of the body. The Front Shoulder Width should be between .5 and 2 inches smaller than the back shoulder width. People with rounded shoulders will have a larger difference than people with very straight backs. Shoulder Length: from the base of the neck at the center of the neck (side view) to the shoulder point. Bust Circumference: around the chest, crossing the bust points, and parallel to the floor. Under Bust: around the chest, directly under the bust. This measurement is used to calculate bust cup. Shoulder to Bust Point: from the shoulder at the neck intersection to the apex of the bust. Bust Point to Bust Point: from apex to apex. Center Back Length: from the protruding bone of the back of the neck to the natural waistline. Center Back Length sould be approximately 1.5 inches longer than the Center Front Length. Back Shoulder Width: from shoulder point to shoulder point across the back of the body. The Back Shoulder Width should be about .5 inch longer than the Front Shoulder Width. Neck Circumference: the measurement around the neck. This measurement will be approximately 13 inches for the average woman. This measurement is taken high around the middle of the neck over the Adam's apple. Natural Waist Circumference: the measurement around the natural waist and parallel to the floor. Sideseam Length: from the natural waist to the floor down the side of the body. Hip Circumference: around the hip at its fullest point, parallel to the floor. If the circumference around the thighs is larger than around the hip, use the larger measure. Shoulder to Wrist: from the shoulder point, across the slightly bent elbow to the bone of the wrist. Bicep Circumference: around the fullest part of the upper arm with the arm bent slightly. Wrist Circumference: around the wrist over the wrist bones.
